Ben Carvosso has been actively involved in the Dance scene in Ireland since 1994 as a DJ and journalist.
Since then he has become a familiar face around the club circuit with residencies in some of Dublin’s top clubs. His versatile sound and style of Djing and makes him a popular name at many different clubs around the country. He is as easily at home playing funky US House as he is playing deep dirty progressive house.

He has been into Dance music since the scene kicked off in Dublin many years ago and it wasn’t long before he was appearing at clubs like Pas and The Circuit and OSheas.

In 1996 he started off a half page club column in In-Dublin magazine and within weeks it had been increased to six pages due to its popularity. This gave him a platform to start playing in Dublin clubs like The Boardwalk, Grouchos, Ormond Multi Media Centre, Tin Pan Alley, Altered State and Temple Theatre.

After a year with In-Dublin he decided it was time for Ireland to have its own Dance music magazine and started up the hugely popular Uproar magazine, which was the first of its kind in this country. The magazine ran for a year and lifted the profile of many of Dublin’s producers, clubs and DJs. With a lot of Dublin’s top clubs closing around this time Ben moved on to play at various clubs around the country, up in Belfast and a couple of clubs in the south of England.

With the Dublin scene back thriving again Ben decided to concentrate his efforts back at home and started writing Club columns for The Evening Herald, Irish Independent and BBM magazine. He joined forces with another of Dublin’s DJs, Tony P to start up the infamous Resurrection Club in Pegs which was Ireland’s first day-time club which still runs today and is noted as having one of the best atmospheres in country.

He has also been involved in various radio stations over the years including Qfm, Kiss and Nova where is now every Thursday from 7-9 pm and features regularly on the 2FM and FM104 dance shows.
