Ger Stokes got his first set of belt drive decks when he was 15,back in '95.. He originally wanted to be a Hip Hop dj, after seeing the movie "Juice". With no knowledge of dj’ing and a set of belt drive decks, Ger found out that it would be more difficult than he imagined. After the first year of dj’ing, he started listening to Sasha and got hooked to progressive house. The cd that crossed Ger Stokes over to progressive was Digweed’s Renaissance 2 mix cd. Shortly after, he got his first set of Technics turntables and hasn’t looked back since.

It all kicked off in '99 In ‘99 when Ger got a weekly radio show on Dublin’s KISS 105.8 fm. Ger was a regular dj on kiss for a year or two playing his prog and breaks and getting up to no good on the air!

Fast forward to present,and Ger is now one half of dj/production duo,"silinder",whose tracks are featured on edm digital.com.Addicted to remixing,silinder have done a few remixes to keep an ear out for,from artists such as spooky,depeche mode,sasha and nine inch nails.Plenty more remixes to come from the two lads as well as there own tracks.

Ger has played in a variety of clubs around dublin in the past,the now closed temple theatre,and spirit, to name a few.But expect ger to leave his prog records at home,and let him deliver his own style of funked up techy house and breaks,if you want to call it that!
